Advanced Optimal Healthcare is a direct primary care practice in Lutz, FL, founded and led by Dr. Anilda Ortiz, DNP, APRN, FNP-C, a board-certified family nurse practitioner. It provides membership-based primary care for adults and families, with a separate wellness track covering infusion therapy, body composition, weight management and hormone health. Visits are unhurried, one patient at a time, in the office or by telehealth, and no insurance is billed for office visits at any membership level. Opened October 1, 2020, the practice is Latina- and woman-owned and serves Lutz, Land O' Lakes, Wesley Chapel and the greater Tampa area.

What Drives Us: Prevention Over Sick Care
Time, education and partnership at every visit
Our mission, in Dr. Ortiz's words, is to care for our members the way we would care for our own family. We opened in Lutz to offer personalized, affordable primary care built on prevention, not sick care. That means unhurried visits, labs explained line by line, and a plan shaped by your goals and budget, from a direct primary care membership to wellness services or hormone therapy.
Safety Standards and Clinical Protocols
Every new patient is screened with a health history, medication review and assessment before any treatment is recommended, and informed consent is reviewed before IV drips, injections, hormone therapy, weight loss medication or device sessions begin. The body contouring and pelvic floor devices we use, Emsculpt Neo and the Emsella Chair, are FDA-cleared for their indications (the FDA medical device program publishes cleared uses). Prescribing is lab-guided: hormone therapy and weight loss medication start with baseline blood work, and dosing is adjusted against follow-up labs rather than symptoms alone. IV drips and injections are administered by a licensed clinician on our team, and Emsculpt Neo and Emsella sessions are run by our trained team under Dr. Ortiz's supervision. As a nurse practitioner, Dr. Ortiz is licensed to assess, diagnose, order and interpret tests and prescribe medication, a scope described by the American Association of Nurse Practitioners.
How We Tailor Care to You
Care starts with a complimentary consultation, a 20-minute conversation to review services and answer questions, followed by a first visit that includes a full history, an exam and a blood draw in our office. From there Dr. Ortiz builds a plan that fits your health, your schedule and your budget: a membership tier from our primary care services, a wellness program, hormone care or a combination, with follow-up visits scheduled rather than left to chance, and sick visits fit in when you need them. Plans are revisited as labs come back and as life changes.
Honest Guidance and Realistic Outcomes
We tell you when something is not a fit. If labs do not support hormone therapy, if a weight loss medication is not appropriate for your history, or if a wellness service is unlikely to help, Dr. Ortiz says so and suggests what is more likely to work. When a condition needs a specialist, imaging or hospital care, the practice coordinates the referral and stays involved. Direct primary care is not health insurance, and we recommend that members keep coverage for emergencies, hospital care and specialists. Individual results vary.

Founder, Owner and Family Nurse Practitioner
Meet Dr. Anilda OrtizDr. Ortiz is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner licensed as an APRN in Florida and Rhode Island, with a Doctor of Nursing Practice from the University of South Florida. In healthcare since 2002, she brings more than 14 years in primary care and more than 10 years in endocrinology, diabetes and thyroid care to every member.

Jorge Ortiz
Operations Manager
Jorge oversees the practice's daily administrative and clinical operations, including staff, budgets and workflows. He holds a Bachelor's in Business Administration with a project management focus from Purdue University and brings more than 15 years of operations and customer-service leadership to the practice. He is also Dr. Ortiz's husband.

Danielle Cooney
Office Administrator
Danielle handles office administration, patient relations and patient coordination. With more than 10 years in health and wellness, a certified personal trainer credential and a nutrition certification, she also provides health, fitness and nutrition guidance to members. She is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, expected in 2029.

Advanced Optimal Healthcare is located at 18938 N Dale Mabry Hwy, Ste 101, Lutz, FL 33548. Members come from Lutz, Land O' Lakes, Odessa, Wesley Chapel, Carrollwood, Northdale, Cheval, Keystone, Trinity and Westchase, across Hillsborough and Pasco counties and the greater Tampa area. Telehealth visits are available to members throughout the Tampa Bay area, so distance matters less than it would at a traditional office. Hours are by appointment, Monday through Friday, and the practice is currently accepting new patients. Contact the Lutz office for directions and hours.
